Former Chairman of the Department of Surgery of Laser Spine Institute Brings Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Spine Surgery to SpineOne

SpineOne is pleased to announce the addition to our team of Dr. Michael Weiss, former Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Orthopedic Spine Surgeon for Laser Spine Institute. Dr. Weiss joins SpineOne as the Chief of Surgical Operations, bringing his expertise in orthopedic surgery and patient care to the SpineOne family of medical professionals.

Dr. Weiss is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery as well as being Fellowship trained in Spine Surgery. He brings to SpineOne nearly three decades of experience in orthopedics, including arthroscopy, major spine surgery, and a broad range of laser and minimally invasive spine procedures. Following more than 15 years of practice as an orthopedic surgeon in South Florida, Dr. Weiss joined the Laser Spine Institute, where he spent the next fourteen years. There he sought additional training and subspecialized in minimally invasive spine surgery.
Dr. Weiss received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He completed his internship and residency at Michigan State University. Dr. Weiss has served on the Pain Management Medical Advisory Board for GE Healthcare, Ltd. He is a published author and a member of the team that developed protocols for AAAHC Centers of Excellence in Spine Surgery and Joint Replacement. Dr. Weiss shares best practices on spine surgery and pain management. This includes being an investigator in many clinical studies and collaborating with industry through consulting and designing medical devices.
